CBWO 50th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrating 50 Years of Empowerment

In a jubilant tribute to our legacy, the Congress of Black Women of Canada, Ontario Region hosted the CBWO International Women’s Day Brunch at the prestigious Mississauga Grand Banquet Hall. The event, a culmination of decades of dedication and perseverance, overflowed with gratitude, joy, and a sense of accomplishment. For five decades, the Congress of Black Women of Canada, Ontario Region, served as a powerful platform for Black women to address issues affecting them, their families, and their communities. With a mission to improve lives through advocacy and empowerment, the organization has left an indelible mark on countless lives, embodying resilience, unity, and progress.

Throughout the event, attendees basked in the warmth of camaraderie, sharing stories of triumph, solidarity, and empowerment. From engaging discussions on fostering positive change to a vibrant marketplace showcasing the talents of local entrepreneurs, every aspect of the Brunch encapsulated the spirit of the Congress – to uplift, inspire, and empower Black women to realize their full potential.

As we reflect on this unforgettable celebration, we are filled with gratitude for the countless individuals who contributed to its success. From the visionary leadership of our Regional President, Loris Thomas, to the inspiring words of our honoured guest, Hon.
